How to use it in the gym
- Before the first set, tap “Keep screen on” so the phone does not lock.
- Use the + and − buttons to change weight and reps quickly.
- After each set the rest timer starts. You get a sound and vibration when it is time to go.
- Next time Gymvert shows your previous sets, so you know what to beat.
Progress without guessing
For barbell lifts Gymvert estimates your one-rep max from every set and draws a chart. A new best squat, bench, deadlift or press is saved in My progress automatically. For pull-ups, dips and push-ups it saves your best number of reps.
Rest times
- Strength, heavy sets of 1–5 reps: 2–5 minutes.
- Muscle growth, 6–12 reps: 1–2 minutes.
- Light sets and accessories: 45–90 seconds.
